VICTORIA TEAM

After a thrilling victory on the weekend over Western Australia and four wins in their last five Ford Ranger Cup games, the VB Victorian Bushrangers go into tomorrow’s clash with Queensland with an eye on a berth in the Final. The Bulls defeated Victoria in last year’s Final, adding some extra spice to the match at the MCG, which they, too, need to win. The 12-man VB Victorian Bushrangers squad is:Cameron White (C), Aiden Blizzard, Adam Crosthwaite, Aaron Finch, Brad Hodge, David Hussey, Andrew McDonald, Bryce McGain, Clint McKay, Darren Pattinson, Rob Quiney, Peter Siddle.

BLACKWELL SCORES MAIDEN 100

Opening batter Alex Blackwell scored her maiden one-day international century and twin Kate recorded her highest score in limited overs cricket as the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars produced a well-rounded team effort to topple England by 84 runs at the MCG today. Alex Blackwell’s 101 - her first for Australia in all forms of the game – and Kate’s unbeaten 57 from 60 balls guided the home team to 4-250 as the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars made amends for yesterday’s loss with a complete performance.

CAPTAIN DROPPED FROM SQUAD

South Australian selectors have announced a new West End Redbacks line-up for the forthcoming Pura Cup match v the Tasmanian Tigers commencing at Adelaide Oval this Friday. Nathan Adcock has not been selected in the squad and Graham Manou will captain the West End Redbacks in his absence.“We have been very impressed with Nathan’s leadership this season but unfortunately he has not been able to hold is place in the four-day side and consequently cannot remain as captain”, said Chairman of Selectors, Paul Nobes.

VICTORIA SQUAD

The VB Victorian Bushrangers return to the scene of their recent Twenty20 triumph to take on a Warriors outfit keen for revenge. A win to the Bushrangers in Saturday’s Ford Ranger Cup match would see them jump to second on the table and in reach of a finals berth. The big-hitting WA side will be desperate to scuttle the visitor’s hopes and will no doubt be motivated by the disappointment of their recent encounter. The 13-man VB Victorian Bushrangers squad is:Cameron White, Aiden Blizzard, Adam Crosthwaite, Aaron Finch, Brad Hodge, David Hussey, Michael Klinger, Andrew McDonald, Bryce McGain, Clint McKay, Darren Pattinson, Rob Quiney, Peter Siddle.
