IRELAND TO PLAY ENGLAND

The Irish Cricket Union and the ECB today announced that it has reached agreement for the staging of a One Day International in 2009,  a second ODI in 2011  and a third ODI in 2013 between the two sides. As part of an agreement between the two countries' Boards, Ireland will also continue to participate in the English domestic structure for the forseeable future. David Collier , the ECB Chief Executive commented : “We have a strong relationship with the Irish Cricket Union and we are delighted to have reached this agreement.”

WOMEN'S QUALIFIER POSTPONEMENT

The ICC today announced the postponement of upcoming Women’s World Cup Qualifier event, scheduled to be staged in Lahore, Pakistan from 19 – 25 November 2007. The decision was arrived at following independent security reports and extensive discussions by ICC management and the ICC Women’s Committee.
