WOMEN'S QUALIFIER POSTPONEMENT
The ICC today announced the postponement of upcoming Women’s World Cup Qualifier event, scheduled to be staged in Lahore, Pakistan from 19 – 25 November 2007. The decision was arrived at following independent security reports and extensive discussions by ICC management and the ICC Women’s Committee. A decision on where and when the tournament will be played will be taken in due course.
2009 TWENTY20 GROUPS NAMED
The International Cricket Council have announced the four groupings for the ICC World Twenty20 taking place in England in 2009. Zimbabwe have been drawn along side India and Bangladesh.
ZIMBABWE SUPERSPORT SERIES OPENER POSTPONED
The opening match in the SuperSport Series involving Zimbabwe who were due to play against the bizhub Highveld Lions this weekend, has been postponed. A new date will be fixed following a meeting of the board of Cricket South Africa on Friday.
ZIMBABWE TO COMPETE IN ALL FRANCHISE COMPETITIONS
CRICKET SOUTH AFRICA (CSA) on Monday announced details under which Zimbabwe will put a representative side in all three professional franchise competitions in South Africa this summer. Zimbabwe have undertaken to field their strongest available team in all matches.
